Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 18, 2026 · Last updated: July 12, 2026 · App: DozeAlert (app.dozealert) · Developer: Riaz · support@dozealert.app

DozeAlert helps you wake up before you reach a selected destination using location-based alerts. This policy describes what information the app uses, where it is stored, and which third-party services are involved.

Information we collect

1. Precise location (GPS)

Latitude, longitude, speed, accuracy, and timestamps from your device while you use maps, pick a destination, or run trip monitoring (including in the background when monitoring is active). Used to measure distance to your destination and trigger alerts. Stored on your device only — not uploaded to DozeAlert servers.

2. Physical activity (Android)

When you grant the Physical activity permission and turn this on in Location settings, Android may provide motion-activity signals (for example in a vehicle, walking, or stationary) during trip monitoring. DozeAlert uses this on-device to help tell when you are riding versus waiting at a station on transit. Off by default. Not uploaded to DozeAlert servers; not shared with third parties.

3. Destinations and trip data you choose

Destination names, coordinates, alert distance, saved destinations, recent destinations, trip history (destination, times, alarm events), and monitoring settings. Stored on your device only.

4. App settings

Alarm volumes, transit and line preferences, theme, and onboarding progress. Stored on your device only.

5. Transit stop lists you download

Public schedule and stop files (GTFS format) downloaded from agency or open-data URLs you select. Where permitted by an agency’s terms, the app may download a file mirrored on dozealert.app instead of the agency’s direct host. Cached on your device. Downloads use HTTPS to third-party hosts or the DozeAlert website mirror.

6. Third-party services

Service When What may be sent
Google Maps Platform Map picker, place search Search text, map requests, location-related data per Google’s policy
Transit / open data hosts Stop list download Standard HTTP request metadata (URL, IP address)
dozealert.app (GTFS mirror) Mirrored stop list download Standard HTTP request metadata for the mirrored GTFS file
Share targets you choose When you tap Share Only what you send via Android’s share sheet

We do not use analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs in the production app.

7. Support email

If you contact support@dozealert.app, we receive what you include in your message to respond to you.
